T H E   M O V I E

Concerning Queens And Laundry Maids follows a young laundry maid named Hwyna who escapes into the woods with her best friend to avoid being forced into the kingdom's army. Hwyna then embarks on an adventure to save her friends, including a young queen, from the throne's evil usurper.

T H E   P R O D U C T I O N

We held auditions, started a GoFundMe campaign, borrowed costumes from private donors and a local high school, borrowed cameras and more equipment, taught our cast stage swordfighting so they would know what to do with the real metal swords we bought, and finally in August we began filming.

Principal photography lasted for two weeks, taking place in the woods as well as a few special venues (such as Bibler Gardens and Bethlehem Lutheran) who generously let us film in their amazing locations, which really brought the world of the story to life. We also had the honor of being featured by a local newspaper.

In the fall of 2017 we held a few days of pick-ups, when we filmed a few scenes that we had forgotten or realized would add more to the film. 

We edited the movie over the winter, spring and summer of 2018, and finally premiered it in October of that year.
